FAQ’S

Below are commonly asked questions about the Rapid Eye Therapy process:

Who can benefit by RET?

Anyone can benefit who desires positive self-change, release from stress, trauma and unwanted habits as well as freedom from being triggered into reacting to people and situations in the same old negative ways.  Many times we become aware of what we are doing that causes our pain, but new behaviors do not necessarily follow this insight.

How can I tell when I have released an issue?

When trapped stress, trauma or unpleasant memories are released, the body may feel light and tingly, and many report an increase in energy, confidence and well-being.

Do I have to feel emotions to release trauma?

Often times the negative feeling, stress or trauma is released without actually reliving the original event.

Is there a possibility of releasing too rapidly?

No, we all have excellent survival systems.  These systems were developed in order to protect us.  Our psyche will only allow us to release as fast as we are able to assimilate the changes.  Most people release past issues in layers.  Also, there are many safe-guards built into the RET process to allow release to occur in a safe and balanced way.

Can RET be used with children?

Yes, I have worked successfully with children 8 years and older.

How long is a typical session?

Allow up to 2 hours for the first session, all following sessions are 1 to 1-1/2 hours.

Is this a long term process?

Most people reach their goals and go through core belief work in as few as 12 sessions.  In the first 4 sessions an individual can expect relief and a calming of major stresses.  After 6 to 12 sessions one can also expect significant insights and more lasting results.  The number of sessions depends on the amount of trauma and the degree of lasting changes the individual desires.
